The Ashramas and Gurukul were centers of learning where students would study the Vedas, the Upanishads, and other ancient texts. They would also study philosophy, logic, and other subjects. The court of Janaka was a place where scholars from all over India would gather to debate and discuss ideas. It was a major center of learning and intellectual activity in ancient India.

The Ancient Mithila University was not a single, unified institution. It was a tradition of learning that evolved over centuries. There were many different centers of learning in the Mithila region, and they did not all have the same curriculum or faculty. However, the court of Janaka was one of the most important centers of learning in the region. It was a place where scholars could come together to share their knowledge and ideas, and it helped to make Mithila a major center of learning in ancient India.
